BIO

Principal harpist of the Huntsville Symphony Orchestra and the Kalamazoo Symphony Orchestra, Anna feels equally at home in the orchestra as she does performing contemporary music. She has appeared as a substitute harpist with the Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra, Baltimore Symphony Orchestra, Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra, and the Louisville Orchestra. Anna was selected as the harp fellow for the National Arts Centre Orchestra (NACO) Mentorship Program under the direction of Alexander Shelley in 2023 where she performed in multiple sold-out performances in Ottawa, Ontario. As a member of the New Downbeat collective in Cincinnati, Anna has performed world premieres of chamber works by up-and-coming composers, including Brian Raphael Nabors, Grace Choi, Meng Weng, and Julien Monick. Anna has also performed with the Atlanta Contemporary Music Collective, concert:nova, Intersection New Music, and the Pittsburgh New Music Ensemble. Anna has appeared as a soloist with the Huntsville Symphony Orchestra, Johns Hopkins Chamber Orchestra, the Eastman Graduate Chamber Orchestra, on the Flight88 Concert Series at Urban Artifact, Lives United Concert Series in Cincinnati, and at the University of Alabama in Huntsville at Roberts Recital Hall. 

Anna maintains a private harp studio in the greater Cincinnati area and loves to share her knowledge and passion for the harp with her students. Dr. Dunlap graduated with her Doctorate of Musical Arts degree from the University of Cincinnati, College-Conservatory of Music with a cognate in arts administration. She is a graduate of the Eastman School of Music with a Bachelor of Music and the University of Cincinnati, College-Conservatory of Music with a Master of Music degree.
